Online WMS PTO Family Directory Instructions (this is also where you register to receive the PTO's Weekly Email)
1. Collecting Information - Complete your registration (new family) or verification (families with a rising 7th or 8th grader) through MySchoolAnywhere (MSA) by September 9th to be included in the current school year's directory. Use the REGISTER button on the right.
All new families will need to enter their information into MySchoolAnywhere's secure online form using a PC, Mac or tablet (please do not use your smartphone to register). Note: The WMS PTO maintains a separate database from the district's PowerSchool Parent Portal. In order to receive the PTO'sWeekly Email you will need to be registered in MySchoolAnywhere, and elect to receive notifications.
Returning families will be sent an email (August/September timeframe) confirming their account information, with an option to update. This email will have a personalized code that you will need in order to verify your family's information. IMPORTANT: If your 8th grader just graduated this past June and your next child is a rising 6th grader (or younger), MySchoolAnywhere deems you a new family and should please create a fresh account in MySchoolAnywhere (see above under new families). You will not receive a verification code like a returning family because MySchoolAnywhere terminated your account when your 8th grader graduated (as you didn't have a rising 7th or 8th grader actively at WMS).
For students with two households, it is advised that one parent add/edit both sets of household information which will be listed in the directory under the student's name. Up to four parents and two addresses may be added to each student account. If it is not possible for one parent to add/edit both sets of household information, each household may set up their own account, however the student will be listed twice in the directory.
The Weekly Email is sent out every Sunday that school is in session. Set your notification in MySchoolAnywhere so you receive it in your inbox each week.
2. How do you access the new online directory? After you have completed the step above as either a new family or returning family, the PTO will verify your account and enable your access to the WMS Family Directory in MySchoolAnywhere. For anyone who registered at the beginning of the school year your verification will be completed by mid-October (the entire database is verified in the fall in one complete process spanning several weeks; so everyone's verification has to be completed before any one person can access the directory). Until then, your login to the WMS Family Directory in MySchoolAnywhere will not work.
3. Will a paper directory still be printed? No, there won't be a printed copy of the Directory, but each user can print it or create your own custom list.
